Susan Baum Locker, MSEd, OTR/L

susan_locker Susan has been teaching splinting workshops since 1991. She has been an occupational therapist since 1977 and has specialized in hand therapy since 1983. She has been an instructor at USC, has co-authored articles in the field of physical disabilities, and has lectured at ASHT, AOTA and OTAC. She is presently a clinician, a splinting consultant and an educator for the therapy community.

Susan produces customized facility workshops, as well as one-on-one tutorials. In addition, she provides small group workshops for the therapy community in her own private location.

Paul Gerstenfeld MS, OTR/L, CHT


Paul Gerstenfeld is a certified hand therapist who earned a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy with his undergraduate degree in Recreational Therapy, minoring in Psychology. He has nearly 20 years of experience designing, replicating and collaborating in the construction of orthotics. He excels in creating adaptive devices and modifying existing tools helping people become more independent.

As owner and operator of Hands On OT over the last 9 years, mentoring newer therapists and collaborating with experienced ones in treating the upper extremity has been an integral endeavor.

Before becoming an OT, Paul taught English as a Second Language, physical education, massage therapy and worked in special education with troubled youth. His clinical skills in concert with a rich, multidisciplinary background help in treating the person rather than the injury alone.
